Map of the Baluchi language

Baluchi (or Balochi) is an Indo-Iranian language spoken by the Baluchi people of the Balochistan region in Pakistan, Iran, and Afghanistan. There are more Baluchi people in Turkmenistan and Tajikistan, but the majority live in Pakistan. There are three major divisions of Baluchi: Western, Eastern, and Southern, but many linguists do not classify Southern Baluchi as a separate language. The total number of Baluchi speakers is about 7 million. •See also Indo-Iranian languages. Ref: UCLA Language Materials Project, Ethnologue, Wikipedia
