Romanian is a Romance language spoken in Romania by about 20 million people. It is the official language of Romania. There are significant Romanian-speaking minorities in Hungary, Moldova, Serbia, Montenegro, and Ukraine. Two other dialects of Romanian are spoken chiefly in Greece. •See also Romance Languages.
